Kristina Goikoetxea Langarika grew up in Spanish Basque Country and has been living in the Netherlands since her student years. Kristina’s literary debut is an ode to the mystical stories and close-kit social community in her native region. She allows the reader to empathise with three generations of women who as towers of strength defy the eternal fluctuation between tradition and modernity, between village and city, and between conservatism and political change.
